One of my more unusual interests: Classic muscle cars

I have rather conventional interests. I like to read – mostly non-fiction – I like trying new restaurants, fancy cocktails – and wine and beer and cider – and I like theatre, travel and road trips.

No, this is not a personal ad – but if it were, I’d leave off one of my more unusual interests: Classic Muscle Cars – an affection shared mostly by middle-aged guys named Dave.

I don’t have a garage or any real need for a car – especially one that guzzles gas – but it’s not about need. It’s about desire…

“Whenever we confront an unbridled desire we are surely in the presence of a tragedy-in-the-making.” ~ Quentin Crisp

My biggest (inanimate) desire: A Plymouth ‘Cuda — a 1971 model to be specific.

Indeed one of The Four Noble Truths. Alas, I suffer. Oh, I suffer.
